I just came across this teaser for RIM’s latest desperate attempt; the Blackberry 10. Aside from being an iPhone wannabe, this model completely discredits Blackberry’s anti-Apple spiel: “try sending a thousand emails on a touch-screen”.
Has RIM finally caught on to the fact that you can - shock horror - learn to type on a touch-screen just as well as a standard keyboard? Now that most Blackberry users have finally realized that BBM’s are essentially glorified text messages, they’re quickly running out of excuses as to why they are still holding onto their relics. RIM’s solution is all too sad; create a phone that looks strikingly similar to the leading brand, only not as good.
RIM, it’s time to pack it up.
